Spare Parts A minimum of 12month warranty applies to all parts except for power supplies and depending on the manufacturer can be up to 5 years. If you have purchased a part and it is faulty you are required to fill out the warranty form found on this website and to bring the part into the shop. If you do not have an anti static bag, we can lend you one for the transport of your part. We prefer that you have the packaging that you purchased the product in, but if not that is fine. Turn around time is normally 2-4 weeks however, if we have the replacement part in stock and can confirm that there is no physical damage to the part we may choose to replace it instantly. If the part is a DOA (Dead on Arrival) we will exchange it for you out of stock. |

SMBT Computing Packages
All of our computer packages are covered by a minimum 12month warranty on both parts and labour. The warranty on parts is based on manufacturer's conditions, i.e. parts will not be covered if they are physically damaged. All work is carried out off site at our office located at 2a Alexander St Burnie, this ensures that if any parts or tools are required, everything is on hand to do so. Software problems such as viruses, incompatible software and similar related problems are not covered under warranty as this is not a fault of the computer and we cannot be liable for the software and sites that you choose to use. We can offer support via phone or internet on how to help if you experience these problems. We do ask that the computer is not opened during the warranty period. Whilst we understand that there are many capable IT involved individuals who have a good knowledge of computers and may even know how to build computers, it is our job to cover your warranty and would prefer that you didnt try and fix any hardware problems yourself. This ensures that no physical damage can be done to your machine and you will have no problems with any warranty claims. |
